state in high jump with a jump of 6’8”. Jared Collins Comes HomeFormer Toombs County and Georgia Southern basketball standout Jared "Country" Collins will be attending and playing basketball for the next 3 years at Brewton Parker College in Mt. Vernon. Coach Steve Barker announced late Wednesday that Collins has orally committed to BPC. He is finishing finals at GA Southern and will officially sign the paperwork on Monday. Barker says that with Jared's athletic ability, especially with his size, he is expected to make an immediate offensive impact. He says "Collins likes to shoot 3s, so we're going to let him shoot 'em". Because Jared red shirted his Freshman year at Southern, he still has 3 years of eligibility to play for the Barons.
